Female Mutilation
(Also incorrectly called Female Circumcision)

Here at the Horny Big Clit we love and worship the Clit but did you know that there are some places where they actually remove it and deny women their pleasure.

Worldwide, female genital cutting affects up to 140 million women and girls in varying degrees of severity, according to estimates from the World Health Organization

There are places in Africa, Middle East and Asia in which clitoridectomy is still routinely practiced on ritual and hygienic grounds. Thankfully this practice is not as common as male circumcision that despite being considered unnecessary and cruel does not seem to have the same negative effect on sexual function as the female version.

The cultures that practice female mutilation (Clitoridectomy - will not give the practice any credibility here by calling it circumcision) are predominantly Muslim. However, it is not a prescribed Muslim practice and many Islamic nations do not condone the practice. I can only guess that the practice is rooted in deep male insecurities in these cultures.

Female Mutilation takes different forms, from a relatively minor removal of a small amount of flesh from the tip of the clitoris to almost complete extirpation, along with other practices such as infibulation and sewing up of the labia. The procedure is usually performed at the tender age of eight, without anaesthetic by traditional practitioners.

The trauma must be considerable. Putting aside the denial of female sexuality the subsequent infection and scarring can have long-term implications for future fertility and safety in childbirth.

ASIA - Indonesia

In 2003 a study by the Population Council, an international research group, 96 percent of families surveyed in Indonesia reported that their daughters had undergone some form of circumcision by the time they reached 14.

WHY REMOVE THE CLIT?

Well according According to Lukman Hakim, the chairman of the Assalaan Foundation, there are three “benefits” to circumcising girls. “One, it will stabilize her libido,” he said through an interpreter. “Two, it will make a woman look more beautiful in the eyes of her husband. And three, it will balance her psychology.”

In the horn of Africa countries (Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan, Egypt) it is estimated that some 98% of the women have been subjected to FGM. Most of these women have been subjected to Type 3 (see below). An estimated 100 to 140 million girls and women have undergone some form of FGM. Two million girls are at risk from the practice around the world each year.

There are 4 different types of FGM (W.H.O definitions)

• Type 1: Removal of the clitoral hood with or without removal of the clitoris.
• Type 2: Removal of the clitoris with total or partial removal of the labia minora.
• Type 3: Removal of up to two thirds of the external genitalia, followed by stitching or narrowing to leave a very small vaginal opening for the passing of urine and menstrual blood (often termed infibulation).
• Type 4: Includes pricking, piercing, cutting of the vagina and cauterisation by burning of the clitoris and surrounding tissues

This crime against humanity is sponsored by the Assalaam Foundation, an Islamic educational and social-services organization, so called circumcisions take place in a prayer center or an emptied-out elementary-school classroom where desks are pushed together and covered with sheets and a pillow to serve as makeshift beds. The procedure takes several minutes. There is little blood involved. Afterward, the girl’s genital area is swabbed with the antiseptic Betadine. She is then helped back into her underwear and returned to a waiting area, where she’s given a small, celebratory gift — some fruit or a donated piece of clothing — and offered a cup of milk for refreshment
